APEGA Permit to Practice #15717

APEGA regulates the practices of engineering and geoscience in Alberta on behalf of the Government of Alberta through the Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act. APEGA professionals and permit holders—companies and other organizations that practice engineering, geoscience, or both—have a shared commitment to public safety and well-being through the self-regulation of the professions.

RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive)

Directive 2011/65/EC of the European Parliament prohibits the sale of electrical or electronic equipment that contain more than specified levels of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive)

Directive 2012/19/EC of the European Parliament aims to reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment waste through collection, recycling and recovery. Together, RoHS and WEEE work hand-in-hand to reduce the amount of hazardous substances used in the production, reduce the risk of exposure to both production and recycling staff, and reduce recycling costs.

All new PMT products are designed using RoHS-complaint materials. Many legacy products are also RoHS compliant. Contact our sales team to match products to your environmental needs.

Most PMT products can be easily recycled at electronics and metal recycling facilities. For further details be sure to check with your local facility.
