This system was designed to deal with the dual airbag issues facing many of
the police forces today. The airbag zone of the Ford Crown Victoria and
Chevrolet Caprice has forced the mounting of laptops well below an
ergonomically acceptable height. Our distinctive trigger-handle mechanism
allows the operator to raise the laptop computer above the airbag zone,
slide and swivel the unit to sit directly over the users lap. Once
computer operation is completed, the user releases the trigger handle
to return the laptop to the stowed position. This easy-up, easy-down
system has been tested for safety in the event of airbag deployment and has
proven successful.
This system can also mount control heads, two-way radios, commercial
note-pads, drink holders, and a variety of other accessories. The slotted
base plate allows for an infinite number of mounting options to customize
the system perfect for your requirements.
