As a family business, our company began quite by accident. In 1986 cellular telephones were introduced into Canada. In an effort to find an
easier way to install his cellular phone into his vehicle, Ken Dyck, worked
with a family friend to make an adjustable mounting system. By November of
1986 the Extendoflex mounting system had been born and our company was
incorporated under the name Myroka. We began by selling directly to
cellular phone retailers. The company became established in the cellular
telephone industry not only in mounting, but also in distributing and eventually
manufacturing cellular accessories, which included our original invention, the
Extendoflex.
In 1993 we began manufacturing the Extendoflex mounting system on a larger
scale to hold not only cellular hand-sets, but also laptop computers. As this
market increased, we began making custom mounting plates, and eventually
docking stations with full port replication. We invented other mounting
systems to accommodate the various requirements of our industry.
With the success of our mounting systems we sought to focus exclusively on
the inventions that got us started in the industry. We incorporated
Precision Mounting Technologies to provide a name that signified our goal
as a company. We have built mounting systems for a vast array of
applications. They include: fire, police, utilities, ambulance, city/state
service vehicles, freight-haul, military, aircraft, nautical, taxis, and
mobile office.
