Background
Precision Mounting Technologies began manufacturing mounting systems in 1985. The first mounts were for cellular phones and soon that branched off into making in-vehicle mounts for laptop computers and from there progress pushed the development of docking stations.
Scope of Business
PMT products are presently being used around the world, including North America, Europe, the Mediterranean area, the middle east and in Asia. Today, more than a two hundred thousand docks and mounting systems are used in the United States and Canada and other parts of the world which have been manufactured by PMT. In 2010 PMT was named a finalist for the Alberta Export Awards.
Manufacturing Product
PMT designs and manufactures their own product. Advanced machinery including: a water jet, 2 lasers, multiple machining centres, and powder coating systems assist in producing state of the art fine mounting and docking systems applicable to the requirements of the mobile mounting industry. As a result most everything is manufactured inside the 30,000 sq foot building located on a 3.5 acre site in the industrial Area of Calgary Alberta.
Custom Production
PMT is the largest North American custom builder of computer mounting systems. While there are many companies that supply mounting bracketry, none will custom build to the precise detail as PMT. The intention of PMT is to build product as desired by customer. The only time we put on the brakes on custom building is when we deem an idea may not be safe inside the confines of a vehicle.
